In Zermatt skiing is available 365 days a year, so Zermatt is always ‘open’ on the 21km of pistes of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. However, the rest of the ski area will officially open for the 2024/25 winter season on 30 November 2024.
Zermatt Winter Opening Date – 30 November 2024
The formal opening date for winter 2024/25 in Zermatt is 30 November 2024. Pistes in the Rothorn, Sunegga, Hohtalli and Gornergrat areas will open on 07 December. Most lifts will remain open until 21 April 2025.

Zermatt Unplugged is back from 08-12 April 2025. We will update our website with details of acts playing when they are announced.
