After a period of uncertainly, it has been confirmed that the Gault&Millau-listed Restaurant Paradies in Findeln is going to be acquired by the nearby Chez Vrony.
Chez Vrony will take over ownership
Caston Zeiter – famous for his ravioli – was chef for years at Restaurant Paradies and put it on the map. However, he was always going to move on after the 2020 summer season.
Vrony and Max Cotting-Julen, who already run the famous Chez Vrony, will take over the restaurant.
Plans to make Paradies appeal to a younger audience
The new manager will be Vrony’s nephew, the ex-ski racer Elia Zurbriggen. Elia will be joined by his wife Loredana, who has worked front of house at Chez Vrony for eight years.
The plan is to turn the Restaurant Paradies into a more youthful, feminine restaurant than Chez Vrony, with the hope that it will appeal to a new, younger demographic.
The new team will start from December 2020 – without the famous ravioli, but with plenty of new creations and ideas.
